Our 50p Christmas Tree Promise is back for a second year. Last year we helped Bridport and Beaminster food banks by being able to donate four trolly loads of food and essentials, all of which came from funds created by our customers purchasing Christmas trees from Groves. Its all thanks to our 50p Christmas Tree Promise. For every real Christmas Tree we sell we promise to donate the equivalent of 50p worth of food and essentials to Bridport & Beaminster Food Banks.
Earlier in the week we were joined by the Rev. Pete Stone and Rector Andrew Evans from Bridport Team Ministry whose Cupboard Love initiative plays a vital part in helping families and individuals in the Bridport area.
We know that for some people Christmas can be a very stressful time with extra costs and its hard for them to see people leaving supermarkets with full trollies when they are struggling. The help they get from local food banks is so important so we are hoping to raise as much as possible at Groves and Little Groves so that we can buy lots for the food banks. We will be shopping at Morrisons in Bridport and the Co-op in Beaminster and the two supermarkets have both kindly agreed to also donate some extra shopping to boost our purchases.
If you would like to help us make a really great contribution this Christmas come down to Groves or Little Groves and buy one of our trees - we can do free delivery in the local area so you wont have to worry about getting it home!
