I
It's that time of year when autumn is just around the corner and we look forward to celebrating one of nature's tastiest gifts the wonderful apple with lots of appley fun on our Apple Day, Sunday, October 20th, 10am - 4pm.
As well as loads of Dorset grown apples to try and buy from local growers Elwell Fruit Farm plus fruity smooth ciders to enjoy from Dorset Nectar. We wouldn't have any delicious apples if it wasn't for our wonderful bee pollinators so if you're interested in keeping bees we have West Dorset Bee Keepers Association coming along and as well as selling their glorious honey they'll be answering questions on setting up your own hive and how we can all help in our gardens by planting bee friendly plants and spring bulbs.
Dr. Turbevilles Morris Dancers are back with us again. As well as giving us a display of their talented dancing they'll also encourage you to join in and have a go yourselves. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes! A bit of nifty footwork from Dr. Turbevilles Morris Dancers will be on display at 12.30 and 1.30pm.
Elwell Fruit Farm will also have some of their fine apple and pear juices for you to try and enjoy
No Apple Day would be perfect without a drop of amber nectar to sample and our friends at Dorset Nectar Cider will be bringing some of their award-winning smooth and delicious ciders for you to try and buy.
