Groves Nurseries are proud to be members of the Garden Centre Association. The GCA believes in sharing information and experiences at all levels, from senior management to the shop floor, and strives to achieve excellence in customer service, plant quality and reliability.
Winter conferences and summer workshops for garden centre proprietors, managers and staff are a crucial part of the work of the GCA to enhance good communication skills and advise members of the latest retail initiatives to encourage customers to visit garden centres. As a garden centre that is constantly trying to improve the services we offer and the way we offer them, the GCA is a vital aid in guiding Groves Nurseries through the most reliable and most effective methods of doing this.
Through the GCA we undergo detailed independent annual inspections which provides us with valuable feedback to ensure that we are retailing at the highest possible standards. Training provided though the GCA means that we ensure are staff always at the forefront of retail excellence and customer service and the quality of our plants is backed up our 2-year hardy plant guarantee that we offer through the sale of all our hardy plants.
During our initial inspection we were honoured to be given an award of merit for the quality of catering that the inspectors experienced in the Ivy House Kitchen and with the help of the GCA we hope to raise standards across the garden centre.
