Height/spread: Mat forming habit
Flowers: Tiny purple flowers throughout the summer.
Sun/shade: Happiest in a shady spot that does not dry out.
Maintenance: Suitable for a rock garden or planting in paving. A hardy semi-evergreen mint that would benefit from protection from the worst winter weather.
Soil: Moist soil is essential.
Harvesting: The leaves were originally used to flavour Creme de Menthe liqueur. The leaves have a wonderful sweet scent when crushed.
