Blackcurrant Ben Connan ( Early Season)

Ben Connan is a Sarek-Lomond cross that carries high yields of exceptionally large fruit on compact bushes. These large berries, up to 18mm diameter, are carried on medium length strigs making picking comparatively economical. This early season selection is resistant to Powdery Mildew.

The bushes have good disease resistance and even though it is an early variety they are also very frost tolerant, making them suitable for colder areas. Excellent flavour. Good for culinary or dessert use.

Has the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
