Sun/shade: Sun or partial shade
Maintenance: Cut back and divide in the autumn to maintain vigour. Dies back in the winter to reshoot in the spring.
Soil: Prefers a rich, moist soil.
Harvesting: Pick leaves as required. Flowers are edible too.
Cooking uses: Apple mint has a more subtle flavour than most mints. Use in summer drinks and puddings. Try using for a fruity mint tea too.
