Please note that this plant will be in the process of dying back for winter, but will reshoot in the spring.

Height/spread: 30cm x 30cm 

Flowers: Purple globe shaped flowers most of the summer. (Looks great when used as edging)

Sun/shade: Sunny or partial shady position.

Soil: Rich, moist soil

Maintenance: To encourage new growth cut back a section of  leaves after flowering and feed with Comfrey liquid feed.

Harvesting: Hardy perennial, that dies back in winter. Cut fresh leaves during growing season.

Cooking uses: Great for adding a hint of onion to salads or other dishes (e.g. omelettes, cream cheese etc). Use fresh or freeze. Use flowers fresh in summer salads.

Medicinal uses: Leaves stimulate appetite and aid digestion.
