Flowers: Pale blue sage flowers in summer
Sun/shade: Happy in sun or light shade.
Maintenance: Evergreen herb. Deadhead after flowering. Prune in the spring.
Soil: Requires well drained soil that does not get too wet in the winter.Preferably not acidic.
Harvesting: Pick leaves when needed.
Cooking uses: Leaves are strongly flavoured. Use to enrich meat dishes. Sage tea is also said to be good for colds and sore throats as a gargle.
