Raspberry Canes - Malling Promise (5 canes)

Malling Promise is an early-summer raspberry. This very early season variety, crops from late June-late July.

Firm, large berries with good flavour & keeping qualities, noted for its tolerance to poor soil as well as excellent disease resistance. Separate canes & space 35-45cm apart with plenty of organic matter.

Summer raspberries need a sturdy support system: run two wires (one 60cm (2ft) high and the other 1.5m (5ft) high) along the length of the row. Summer varieties crop on last year's growth, so when fruiting finishes cut down the fruiting stems to 6'' above the ground. These raspberry canes are hardy.
