Please note that this plant will be in the process of dying back for winter, but will reshoot in the spring.

Height/spread: 15cm. Vigorous, carpeting habit.

Flowers: Pretty, white star-shaped flowers in spring and early summer.

Sun/shade: Happy in the dry shade of trees. Good ground cover plant in partial shade.

Maintenance: Trim after flowering and divide regularly. Foliage dies back over the winter.

Soil: Prefers alkaline or chalky soil. Not too dry in summer.

Harvesting: Harvest edible flowers as needed. Whole plant is aromatic.Cooking uses: Pretty star flowers are great in summer drinks and desserts. Use a sprig to flavour wine.
