Work with us
We currently employ a team of around 45 which is a mix of part time & full time, seasonal and permanent staff even apprentices and as such we have a full range of ages and experiences throughout the company. We have won several industry awards which have been as a result of teamwork creating a great customer experience.
We are lucky enough to have a very low turnover of staff and as such situations vacant don’t often occur, however, if there is nothing advertised here we would still love to hear from you. Of course plants are at the very heart of our business and we are always keen to hear from enthusiastic plants people who have experience in gardens and nurseries however that’s not just what we are about....
As professional retailers we are always looking to hear from people who have had experience in the wider retail industry, marketing or customer relations as well as direct garden centre knowledge. We also run our own café on site, have a busy pet shop and have a website that sends goods across Europe.
We are looking for two or three till operators to help us out on a rota basis in our Bridport garden centre as we approach our peak season. Spring is the busiest time in our garden centre and we are looking for somebody to join our shop team on the checkouts. This is a customer facing role in a very busy retail environment.
Our till operators are often the very face of the business and being a family business we take great pride in the fact that we have many loyal customers, largely due to the fact that our team offer a fantastic customer experience.
Our tills are vital for ensuring our business runs smoothly. They allow us to keep check of stock, run promotions efficiently, and administer our customer loyalty scheme. But the checkout can be a very pressurised environment during our peak periods, so it is important that accuracy and customer service is maintained at all times.
We can offer at least 10 to 20 hours per week for each position with the possibility of more hours for holiday cover. It will be on a rota based system and the ability to work weekends (although not every weekend) and flexibility of hours will be a necessity.
