This deciduous dutch honeysuckle has fragrant red, apricot-cream flowers in May and June, often followed by red berries in the autumn. A tough and vigorous climber. Tolerates most soils and aspects.
Soil: Grows well in most soil types.
Site: Sun or partial shade. Fully hardy.
Pruning: In first or second year of growth prune back to about 1
metre in February to encourage branching. In subsequent years prune in
February, removing any dead wood and prune out some growth lower down to
encourage new stems.
