What is the Groves Great Christmas Tree Appeal?

Groves Nurseries in Bridport are once again spreading festive cheer with our award-winning charity Christmas Tree Appeal. Now in its third year, the initiative ensures schools, charities, and not-for-profit organizations in Bridport and Beaminster can enjoy a Christmas tree.

This year, local businesses have enthusiastically stepped up to sponsor trees, and we usually end the appeal with around 30 trees to give away. Sponsors can purchase a tree at a discounted rate, choosing which school or charity to support and personally delivering the tree, or letting Groves allocate and deliver it.

As the largest Christmas tree supplier in the area Groves Nurseries, Ivy House, and Little Groves also contribute three trees, however we wouldn’t be able to offer such a large number of Christmas Trees without the fantastic sponsors who came forward.

Managing Director Charlie Groves said, “Last year we had an amazing response, and we love the fact that this involves the whole community. The generosity of local businesses is heartwarming, especially during challenging times.”

This initiative builds on a long tradition of community giving in Bridport and Beaminster for the Groves family, ensuring that the joy of Christmas reaches every corner of the community. Businesses and residents alike are embracing the opportunity to give back and make Christmas brighter for others.

Suggestions of suitable not for profit organisations can be made via the Groves Facebook page.
