Detective Charlie in the news
Our very own Charlie Groves has been making headlines this week for his detective work tracking down a professional thief who thought they could help themselves to a number of items from our wonderful range of Jellycat toys.
After noticing one of the larger pieces from the Jellycat range had gone missing, Charlie looked back over CCTV and found footage of a woman with a pushchair concealing toys in her bag, under the pushchair and even giving a toy to her child.
Outraged at the crime, Charlie and his garden centre team quickly turned into sleuths, tracking down the woman online after finding the stolen items for sale on reseller site Vinted.
The BBC became interested in the story as part of a wider discussion around responsible purchasing focusing on how consumers can ensure they are buying from reputable retailers when looking for a bargain online.
